Which flowers to send

Send to the funeral home when the service is soon. Standing sprays and easels are made to stand near the casket, and they are usually sent by family or a group.

Send to the home when you want the family to keep something after the service. A vase arrangement, a basket or a plant works best, because it lasts at home.

Plants such as peace lilies and orchids last for weeks or months, which many families appreciate.

What to write on the card

Keep it short and personal: "With deepest sympathy," "Thinking of you and your family," or "In loving memory of [name]." Sign with your full name so the family knows who sent it.
